Since today was Sunday, we went to church, as all good Christians do (sarcasm). It was good to attend a normal service without any backstage or technical obligations after the Singing Christmas Tree (which went quite well). After the service finished, I went to the Music Office, yet again, to make corrections to the Majesty of Christmas tech script and teleprompter files. On the way out, I stopped by the Bellevue Bookstore and bought the Tree DVD (yay!). Then, I left to go meet my parents and my grandmother at Huey's in Collierville. She came in town today to watch my dad sing in Majesty.
After that, my father and I left for Majesty rehearsal. As stated earlier, my dad sang in the choir, and I ran the teleprompter for both the rehearsal and the service. Luckily, the teleprompter did not suffer any catastrophic failures, unlike last year. Last year, the computer died an hour before showtime. That was simply thrilling to deal with.
The show went very well tonight. Pastor Steve Gaines thought that this year's Majesty "was the best [he's] ever experienced." No major technical problems to note, which of course is a good thing. After the show ended, Mark Alexander and I went to his office where I explored all the cool toys and pictures in his office. Then, Brett came by and introduced me to his girlfriend, Allie. She seemed very nice; Brett and she seem like a good match. Then Brett took an Irn Bru and we left.
After a visit to Sonic, we came home and ate soup and watched the Tree DVD. All in all, not a bad day. Looking forward to Christmas shopping with Mom tomorrow (for myself) and possible lunch with Chicken.
Today's Picks:
- TV Show: School of Rock on TBS
- Music: Tree music!
- Food: The new slider burgers at Huey's
- Humorous Moment: Watching Cary Sidhom run back and forth from the Deko machine to a TV playing the Titans game. That's probably the most exercise he's gotten in several days (since he's been editing the DVD)
